Bodice - Rhodes, Lois
A shirtwaist or bodice, part of a two-piece wedding gown. The shirtwaist is made from off-white cotton and has a high collar. The yoke is made from ruched satin or silk. The long-sleeves are puffed and gathered at the cuff, adding extra volume. The front is open. There is a large bow on the back that is edged in satin or silk ribbon and lace. The yoke is held in place with metal hook and eyes. The material is gathered at the waist.

Black military (Naval) coat. Folded collar with flat lapels. Three gold buttons on each side on front, each button featuring an eagle with an anchor. On the front exterior is a breast pocket on the proper left side and a hip pocket on each side. At the end of each sleeve are four gold bars that wrap all the way around the sleeve and a small black patch with a gold-stitched cross on it at the outside of the sleeve, just above the top gold bar....
