    Baton or cane. Long wood cylinder with a decorative gold cap at the top and silver metal casing at the bottom. The knob or grip is a sort of three layered piece with a slightly domed top. The top layer is a ring with 1/4" circles engraved, the center has repeating vertical curved lines, and the bottom layer is plain except for a stamped "R.F.S. & Co."     A walking cane. The cane has a white ivory handle that is curved. The handle has dark lines on the surface, adding visual interest. A metal bend is attached below the handle. The metal band helps the handle attach to the wooden portion of the cane. Below the band, a light toned wooden stick is used for the body of the cane. A white, ivory foot or tip that is cylindrical in shape is attached at the bottom of the cane.
