Description |
Copper teapot. Base is narrower than the rest of the piece and has straight vertical sides. It expands out into a bulbous mid-section and then narrows again at the top rim. There is a half-heart shaped handle on one side and a slight "S" curved spout on the other. Has a lid (see .001a). |

Teapot was brought from Denmark by the donor's mother Marie Hanson Petersen who was born May 2, 1861 in Fredericia, Jutland, Denmark. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1886--she actually came to visit and ended up staying. She had five children--Anna Petersen Fries, Hilda B. Petersen, Inez B. Petersen, Richard B. Petersen, and Ewald B. Petersen. Marie was a housewife and was active in the church. She is on the Wall of Honor. |
