Provenance |
This heirloom, handwoven tablecloth belonged to the donor's paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Chris Johnson (Johanne). She brought the tablecloth with her when the entire Johnson family, including nine children, immigrated to the U.S. around 1887. Johanne passed the tablecloth on to her daughter, Christine Smith. Christine passed away on 19 October 1947. The tablecloth then passed on to Christine's son, Harold (the donor's father). |
