Description |
Piano scarf. Part of a set with piano scarf 1998.072.024b. Made of green-brown felt. Roughly rectangular in shape, with three large scallops along one short end. Smaller scallops along all edges. Piano scarf has "almost" symmetrical embroidery of two yellow-green bows with yellow-green leaves and stems and numerous pink roses suspended between the bows. More roses and leaves drape below each bow. |

This set of piano covers was brought to the U.S. by the donor's grandmother, Emilie Nielsen Jensen Hoffman. They were used to cover the piano keys. Emilie Nielsen Jensen Hoffman was born in 1899 and died in 1994. She appears to have immigrated to the U.S. in 1927. |
