Description |
Painting: The painting was made on a glazed white tile that is square in shape. The handpainted scene depicts a tall, round tower on a narrow street lined with three-story buildings. There is a Danish flag flying from the top of the tower. The artist's signature, "KW", is written in the viewer's lower right corner of the tile. Frame: The tile is held within a wooden frame covered with dark brown varnish. The inner edge of the frame is painted bronze. The outer edge of the frame extends forward and is rounded. There is a piece of blue/grey mat board across the back of the tile, held to the frame around the edges with masking tape. There is one metal eye screw held under the tape along the top edge. |
