Description |
A sororital ribbon used by Danish Sisterhood Lodge #108; used by an outer guard. The two-part ribbon is made from metal and most likely silk. The top portion consists of a silver metal pin with tiny circular indentations along the edge and the letters "DSS" engraved at center. The back of the pin has a horizontally oriented pin used to secure the ribbon to clothing. Hanging from the bottom edge of the pin, there is a metal emblem consisting of a single sword. This symbol was used by officers, outer guard. A rectangular silk ribbon with a vertically oriented, silver design is attached to the bottom edge of the pin. The design features the letters "DSS" and scrolling lines. The bottom edge of the ribbon has silver spiral fringe. The back of the ribbon is plain. |
