Description |
A small lunch box also called a "skrappen". This wooden box is possibly made with balsa wood and is oval shaped. At each end there are wooden pegs (similar to clothes pin) to hold on the lid. The oval form is kept together with nails and the ends overlap by 2 3/8". The front of overlap has a decorative edge. The bottom of the box is flat and the sides are straight. |

The box was used as a lunch box in Denmark by Alfred Pedersen, the donor's grandfather. She recalls that she also used it to carry sandwiches to her father when he worked in the fields. |
