Description |
Decorative Bing and Grødahl plate from 1924. The plate is made from porcelain and decorated with a winter scene. This plate is one from a series of Christmas plates issued by the Bing and Grøndahl company each year. The scene depicted is a figure in a small row boat in a lake with pieces of ice. In the background there is a tall light house with a bright light shining over the lake. At the bottom of the plate, it reads "Jule-Aften-1924" On the back of the plate, there are several makers marks which indicate that the plate was made in Denmark. There are also two small holes in the top center of the plate used for displaying the plate. |
