Masengarb, John Vogt |
Description |
Metal lighter designed to resemble a socket. The base has six sides like a hexagon. An insciption on the base reads, "A.C. VOGT/ 1945." The name appears to stamped into the metal, while the year is etched into it. Attached to the base is a cylinder with grooves around the edge. At the top is a smaller cylinder with a curved head. This top portion comes off to reveal the igniter for the lighter. The igniter consists of a serrated metal wheel and cream-colored fuzz. When moved something inside the lighter rattles. It is not immediately clear whether this is a functional or decorative object. It is unclear where this lighter would need lighter fluid and where it would go if it did. |
