Description |
Metal ring with a square decoration at the top. A diagonal inscription on it reads, "A.C. VOGT." The metal of the band is thin but the band itself is wide. There are no other distinguishable marks or features. |

Almost all items in this accession relate to the donor's grandfather, Asmus Christian Vogt (Fogt, original Danish spelling--changed after immigrating). He was born in Nakskov, Denmark on Dec. 13, 1868. He immigrated to the U.S.--Omaha, NE--1892. He died in Evanston, IL on June 10, 1949. During his lifetime, Vogt practiced metalworking.
