Description |
Petticoat. Part of a woman's folk costume (2007.009.002-.005). White cotton petticoat. Has a wide piece of eyelet embroidered lace trim attached to the bottom of the hem. The eyelets make tilted rectangles and there are embroidered leaves and branches above the rectangles. A little above this trim, there is a narrower insert of eyelet embroidered trim. The insert has alternating eyelet embroidered designs: one design is a four-petaled flower and the other design is a hexagonal shape made from seven small eyelets. The wide waistband is very narrow in circumference. Slit opening cut into the petticoat. This slit opening does not close in back--no closures (snaps, hooks, ties, etc). No other decorations. |

During her high school years, she boarded with a family in Plentywood and came home most weekends. Dagny was married on 8 June 1935, and died 24 August 1982. |
