Provenance |
The donor's grandfather, Jens Petersen, was the first Carlsberg distributor on Bornholm. The donor (Conrad) requested these aprons from relatives in Denmark. He wanted aprons from Carlsberg so that they could be worn by people working at Danish Days held in Minneapolis. Konrad Pedersen was born in 1901, in Nexo, Kobstad Storegade 42 Bornholm, Denmark. He immigrated to the United States in 1919 and settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Konrad died in 1993, in New Brighton, Minnesota. He did marry Emma Julia Epsen, and they had a son, Conrad Jens Pedersen (donor). Konrad was primarily a woodworker and superintendent at a sash and door factory. Konrad is on the Wall of Honor. See 2000-AR-178, from same donor/Society Dania of Minneapolis, MN. |
