Description |
Decorative Bing and Grødahl plate from 1923. The plate is made from porcelain and decorated with a winter scene. This plate is one from a series of Christmas plates issued by the Bing and Grøndahl company each year. The scene depicted is a small deer looking off to the right in the foreground. In the background there is a large rectangular building with a hipped roof. there are clouds at the top of the scene and trees to the right. At the bottom of the plate, it reads "Jule-Aften-1923" On the back of the plate, there are several makers marks which indicate that the plate was made in Denmark. There are also two small holes in the top center of the plate used for displaying the plate. |
