Description |
Counted cross stitch bellpull tapestry featuring landmarks from Aalborg, Denmark. Made from off-white linen. Embroidery done in muted colors. Bellpull has a border of light green scallops and blue dots along all edges. At the top, embroidered in large cursive gray letters is "Aalborg". Below that is a coat of arms, which is presumably a stylized design of Aalborg's coat of arms. Shield has a bulbous red building with rounded yellow turrets against a blue background. The following Aalborg landmarks are depicted and labeled in capital letters: Jens Bangs Stenhus, 1624; Budolfi Kirke; Ellen Marsvins Hus, 1516. Thin rectangular metal bars with thin rods are inserted into the top and bottom sleeves of the linen. Both bars have centered loops. The loop on the top bar is smaller than the loop on the bottom bar. |
