Description |
Small white ceramic nude little boy with toy bear sitting on pedestal. The ceramic figurine is not painted or decorated. The little boy depicted is sitting upright on a square pedestal with his right hand around a small toy bear and his left hand in his mouth. The ceramic figurine has a glossy glaze and small amounts of wear. The pedestal that the little boy sits on has has inscription that reads "Sv. Lindhart / 1936" This is probably the artist who created the piece. On the bottom of the figurine there is a Bing and Grøndahl manufacturing mark. |

Provenance |
Margaret Christensen, wife of Carl Christensen and daughter of Walter and Anna Larsen, was born June 23, 1918 in Forrest Park, Illinois. She married Carl in Chicago in June 30, 1951. In the early 1950s she co-founded the Danish Young People's Club in Chicago. She and Carl moved to Denver, Colorago in 1961 where she was an active member of the Denver Danes. Margaret passed away January 15, 2000. |
