Lid to a copper teapot. Lid is dome shaped, rounded on top with a straight up and down foot (the section that slips inside the teapot). There is a round, turned wooden knob on top as the handle. |

Teapot was brought from Denmark by the donor's mother Marie Hanson Petersen who was born May 2, 1861 in Fredericia, Jutland, Denmark. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1886--she actually came to visit and ended up staying. She had five children--Anna Petersen Fries, Hilda B. Petersen, Inez B. Petersen, Richard B. Petersen, and Ewald B. Petersen. Marie was a housewife and was active in the church. She is on the Wall of Honor. |
