Description |
A lady's hat. The black, wool hat is circular in shape with a rim and lip. The top is indented. Black netting sits inside the curved rim. A wool bow is attached next to a fluffy, black feather at one side. There is a grosgrain sweatband on the interior. There is a thick string attached on the interior, possibly used as a chin strap. There is a fabric label on the interior that reads, "Gage / BROTHERS & Co / SINE 1856 / CHICAGO/ NEW YORK." There is a green stamp on the interior as well with the outline of a sheep. The only print legible is "WOOL." |
