According to a note from the donor, "In the home of Magda and Eskild Lund in Viborg, South Dakota, in the late 1950s, Lauritz Melchior visited for a DBS celebration & concert. He had lunch in the Lund home. Donor's parents later visited Lauritz in California at his home on Mullholland Drive." Magda came from Viborg, South Dakota, and was born November 13, 1907. She died February 8, 2005. Eskild was from Hjorring, Denmark. He was born March 2, 1902, immigrated in 1920 to Viborg, and died in July of 1985.
