Copied photo, two men with goggles getting ready to fly. Three other men standing watching. This is photo of Knud Christensen getting ready for his first plane ride in an open cockpit plane. The pilot is Roberts. Local business men paid $15.00 for his ride. This took place around 1920-25. The people from left to right are Oscar Fossen, dressed in suit and tie with cap, Grandpa Tesch, winter coat with billed cap, Knud, suit with sweater vest, dark googles, Roberts, short jacket, hat with ear muffs and goggles on top of hat, and George E. Berg, suit with shirt and tie, cap. All men are laughing. In the foreground is a man dressed in suit with vest, his face is not visible. Photo is 6" X 3 1/2". |
