Postcard with a black and white image of the interior of a church. Taken from back looking towards the altar. Rows of pews are visible on each side of the aisle. A long white rectangular object (coffin?) is in the altar area. Handwritten note at the bottom center identifies this as a Danish Church in Junction City, OR, "Den Danske Kirke/ i Junction City/ Oregon." Card addressed to Miss Marie Petersen of Elk Horn, IA. Message on back is in Danish. Postmarked from Junction City. Date is not clear enough to make out. 1 cent postage stamp at the viewer's top right corner. |
