Description |
The man to the viewer's right is seated on a large work table wearing dark pants and a light-colored shirt with the cuffs rolled up. He has fabric material in his lap. "Chris" is written across his chest. The other man is standing slightly back and to the viewer right; his viewer left fist is propped on his hip, and his viewer right elbow is leaned on top of a short wall next to the table Chris is seated on. The man is wearing a mid-toned suit with a bowler hat. Along the back wall of the shop are different pieces of clothing and a door that leads to another room. In the viewer lower left corner of the photo is a sewing machine. The other shop wall, to the viewer right, is papered with patterned wallpaper and has a fashion photograph toward the right edge. The photograph has a white border and is mounted on a two-toned dark brown paperboard backing. Handwriting on the back reads, "Chris Larsen taylors shop in Oakland 1908". |
