Description |
Black and white photograph with a white border/postcard backing of a couple outside a house. There is text on the right border edge: "Greetings / From Anthon, Ia.". The postcard was postmarked Oct. 14, 1950 at 3pm. The couple (man (viewer's left), woman (viewer's right)) is in the center at a great distance with the house to the viewer's right of them. The house is light colored, two stories with an enclosed porch on the side. There are six windows and 2 doors visible. There is also a small structure to the viewer's left left of the couple. There are two people in the yard to the viewer's left. There are also many large trees on the property. On the back is a green stamp and postmark in the top right corner. There is printed text on the back: "PHOTO POST CARD" and "ADDRESS". There is also handwritten text: "Mrs. Anna Frandsen. / 421 Curry Ave. / Royal Oak. / Mich." and "Dear Anna: - / Haven't heard from / you for a long time. / Hope you are O.K [Bill.] & / Doris leave for Chicago Sun. / night. He is to enter the / hospital there Monday; & / see if he can get help. / Such a [illegible]. Ras - Marie.". |
