Description |
Large black and white photograph of the interior of the Danish Young Peoples Home. The photograph depicts the living and dining room of the home, with the primary focus being the living room. There is a small table with a lace runner and a vase in the middle of the room. Near the table and around the edges of the room are rocking and straight back chairs. Against the far wall is a fireplace flanked by bookshelves and windows. Set into the stonework of the fireplace is "DYPH". On the mantle is a vase and a clock. There are paintings on the walls, and above the open doorway into the dining room is a series of six portraits of men. On the floor in the living room and through the doorway to the dining room are patterned rugs. In the dining room are two long tables with white tablecloths and many chairs. There are two curtained windows visible in the room. There are paintings on the walls in this room as well. In both rooms chandiliers hang from the ceiling. The print is mounted on a piece of gray mat. On the back of the print is written "M Maigard / 1100 Boyd ave". |
