Description |
Black and white photographic portrait of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. She is seated in a wood chair with a curved back and light colored upholstery. She is angled to the viewer's right and is looking in profile to that side. The queen is wearing a formal black dress with sleeves that puff out below the elbows and a full skirt. She has on a crown as well as large earrings, a necklace, bracelets, and rings. A light colored sash is across her left shoulder with two metals attached to it; the one at top is a cameo and the one below is in the shape of a cross. An additional broach is located below the sash on her dress. The reproduced photographer's signature is in the viewer's lower right corner as well as a copyright mark. The photographic print is housed under glass in a wood frame that has a raised external perimeter. The frame is painted a light bronze color. On the reverse side of the frame is a label which reads, "UNITED Arts/4830 South State/Murray, Utah/266-0362". |
