Description |
Black and white photograph, mounted on a brown-colored matboard. The photograph has a hand-written label along the bottom edge that reads, "Silver Wedding - Hans- Petersens - 1915". The photograph has been taken from the road, and features a house, and a yard full of individuals. The photograph shows a large, Victorian home on the (viewer's) left side of the page, with other, neighboring houses throughout the rest (right) of the photograph. The yard is full of well-dressed individuals, from young children to elderly men and women. Dimensions: (approximated) 17.0625" W x 11.5" L Overall the photograph is in good/fair condition. The front side of the photograph is the only visible portion, as it has been adhered to a brown matboard mount. The photograph paper is yellowed with darker staining/smudging around the outer edges. The outer edges and corners of the photograph are worn, there are liquid/residue stains/scuffs all along the (viewer's) top/right side, fading along the (viewer's) right side and (viewer's) bottom left hand corner, the (viewer's) lower left hand corner has a jagged outer edge, there is a white mark and some scratches (part of the film) in the (viewer's) lower left hand corner, there are brown spot stains/residue along the (viewer's) top/left, top/right, and bottom/right edges. Throughout the face of the photograph there is wear, scratches, scuffs, spotting, smudging, and several small bumps. The front side of the mat board has worn outer edges and corners, staining around the outer edges, liquid stain marks in the (viewer's) upper right hand corner, a tear/crease in the (viewer's) upper left hand corner, a bend/staining in the (viewer's) lower left hand corner, a dark/light section/line along the (viewer's) left and bottom edges, and a hand-written label along the bottom edge. The back side of the mat board has worn outer edges and corners, a large liquid stain the (viewer's) upper left hand corner, a dent in the (viewer's) left/center edge, creasing in the (viewer's) bottom left hand and upper right hand corners, a bend crease in the (viewer's) lower right hand corner, and hand-written label in the (viewer's) upper left hand corner, and many spot stains, smudges, marks, scratches, and dents throughout the back side of the matboard. |
