(5)Copied photographs of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brorson School and Jens Dixen Memorial. All colored except the Brorson High School picture. (a)Colored photo, 6" X 4", Interior of Trinity Lutheran Church, Altar is white with large picture of Jesus nailed on the cross. A large silver cross is on the mantle of the altar with two brass candlesticks, a Bible on a gold stand and a gold chalice. The cloth in the front is green colored. Two altar chairs on the side of the Altar. (b)Colored photo, 6" X 4", Interior of Trinity Lutheran Church taken behind first pew. Shows altar, with Jesus hanging from cross, railing along front of altar, two altar chairs, American flag, baptismal font, pulpit, and organ. On the wall is small cross and a wooden display board with hymn numbers. A candle in a holder hangs from the ceiling. (c)B & W Photo, 7 3/4" X 5 1/4", of The Brorson High School, three story with many windows and a railing around a porch, photo is very blurred but appears to be many people standing in front. (d)Colored photo, 6" X 4" of Monument to Jens Dixsen. Engraving on marble reads "This monument erected on the site of Brorson Lutheran Folk School, 1905-1920 in Memory of the Work of Jens Dixen, 1858-1931. "A Burning and A Shinning Light". John 5.35. Erected in 1952. The monument is set in colored stones. (e)Colored photo, 6" X 4" of the Monument to Jens Dixen from a few feet away. Shows the tiered cement it is sitting on with evergreen trees beside it. |
