(4)Black and white photocopies of Kragh Family. (a)Man seated in wooden rocking chair whittling wood is Mads Hanson. He is dressed in a winter coat with fur collar. Mads was married to Birthe"Marie" Kragh. Picture is circular shaped, 3 7/8" diam. (b)Woman seated in wooden rocker is Birthe "Marie" Kragh. She is dressed in a black long dress with long sleeves and collar, she has on a necklace and a silver belt buckle. Her hair is very straight pulled back and a very somber look on her face. Picture is oval shaped, 2 3/4" X 4 1/4". Donor's notes "Aunt to brothers, Rasmus Kragh and our grandfather, Andrew (Anders Kragh). Also great-aunt to Alice Hunter". (c)Seven young men dressed in suits, white shirts with rounded collars and ties. Birthe "Maries" grandson, J. Maurice, her nephews, Andrew Kragh and Rasmus Kragh, her sons, Steffen Hanson, Nils Hanson, and Hans Hanson. Photo is 6 3/4" X 4 1/8". (d)Three men and two women standing in front of the shanty with car in background. Man on the left is Andrew's brother, Rasmus, dressed in bibbed overalls and white shirt with dress hat. Man next to him is Hans Hanson, dressed in bibbed overalls and long sleeved shirt, next is his wife Katherine Hanson dressed in long dress with sleeves rolled up and a white bibbed apron, next is man, Julius Hanson dressed in bibbed overalls and dress hat, next to him is his wife, Millie Hanson dressed in polka dot long dress with belt. Donor writes "Mads farmed at Norma, N. D. Immigrated from Lolland, Denmark. Attended Trinity Lutheran Church near Kenmare, N. D." |
