Description |
Long black and white photo of Midsommerfest participants in rural Dagmar, Montana. Shows a very large group of people, some seated on the ground, some kneeling, some standing to pose for the photo. Behind the group is a white clapboard building with a gabled roof. There is a small round window near the peak and a chimney on the left of the building. At the very right, one can see horses in the distance between the two men. In the lower left corner is "MIDSOMMERFEST, DAGMAR, MONT. / 1914 PHOTO BY HANSEN PHOTO CO. HITHEE (or WITHEE) WIS." Inside a brown wooden frame, varnished. On the back of the framing materials is written "354 persons". Backing is heavy cardboard held in with pieces of tin.
