Description |
Black and white photograph of two young girls baking. There is dough and flour everywhere - on their faces and hands, on their aprons, and across the table with the bowl and rolling pin on it. The girl on the viewer left has short straight hair and bangs; she is standing, smiling broadly at the camera with flour down her duck apron. The girl on the viewer right is seated; she has darker hair that flips out at the ends. She too is smiling and playing with the dough covering her fingers. There is a kitchen dishes print wallpaper behind them. A label formerly attached to the back, now in the accession file, reads: "DENMARK/SEASONAL TRADITIONS / Danish children love to help with the Christmas / baking." The back of the photograph is covered with stamps and handwriting. Top to bottom, they read as follows. "This photo may be reproduced one time only. / Re-reproduction, use for display or advertising / purposes, loan and re-sale is allowed only with / our permission. The fee covers the photographic / copyright only. Any necessary consent from the / photographed persons (in case of special use of / the picture f.i. for advertising purposes) must be / obtained by the user." There is a circled "5" to its right. "Please return to / DANISH INFORMATION / OFFICE / 280 Park Avenue / New York, N. Y. 10017" is beneath it, then the handwritten mark "GB 6210/351". Stamped near the center is a "FOTO / TEKST / COPYRIGHT" logo with "pressehuset / TLF. 21 30 00 SVEND TRØST TEJ 3 -1912 KBH. V / FOTOGRAF GUNVOR JØRGSHOLM" underneath. There is an illegible handwritten mark to the right. "Copyright by / THE DANISH TOURIST BOARD / Copenhagen V, Denmark" is next with copyright information underneath it. At the bottom are "COPYRIGHT / ROYAL DANISH MINISTRY / FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS / Press Department / Copenhagen - Denmark" and "Dette foto tilhører / DANMARKS TURISTRÅD / og må kun benyttes i udlandet." |
