Description |
Photograph: The vertically oriented, black and white photograph depicts two men visible from the chest up. Both are wearing suits, ties, and light colored shirts. The man on the viewer's right has a small round lapel pin, is wearing glasses, and is looking directly at the viewer. The man on the viewer's left is looking toward the viewer's right. Both men are balding. The backdrop is out of focus but appears to depict foliage. The photograph is surrounded by a modeled grey mat board with a dark border around the photograph of black shapes and curved lines against a brown background. A piece of green pressed paper board is attached to the back of the photograph, held to the frame with nails. Handwritten at the top edge of the green paper is: "Mrs. Harold Miller / Married Name / Mary Rattenborg / Mrs. Folmer Hansen / Christina Rattenborg". The outer edge of the mat board is dark grey. Frame: The photograph is the far left image in a frame that contains two other photographs (1988.024.009b and 1988.024.009c). The frame is made of wood that is faced with plaster and painted grey. It has glass across the front. The front is divided into three segments with two vertical bars. There is a raised flower on the lower end of each bar, and probably at the top as well but they are missing. |
