Summary / Description |
Tiny hardcover book, part of a series of ten. Front cover is red-orange with a color illustration of a figure dressed in white and a gold crown walking in front of a crowd of people. The title is below. Inside is a page with a multi-colored illustration of multiple fairytale figures like a ballerina, the man in the moon, and a tin soldier on one side, and space for the owner's name on the other. The next page has the title and author. Contains 22 numbered pages of text and color illustrations. On the back cover is an illustration of a pincushion and a gold ball, and below is a maker's mark with "NPI" inside. 2 x 3 PROVENANCE: The information in the file is unclear as to ownership and general family history. Paul Nielsen and Carl Nielsen were either the donor's brothers or sons. The owners of the books may have included Hermman Nielsen (1916) and Inger Thomsen Nielsen (1939) who came from Denmark in 1939, met on the boat Kasen Korsgaard. The books were sent as Christmas presents. |
