   A medal from the Danish War of 1864 (Second Schleswig War). The brass medal is attached to a ribbon. The ribbon has alternating stripes of white and red. The ribbon attaches to the medal with a small bar. the bar is securely attached to the top of the circular medal. the medal has the profile of King Christian IX.
