Blouse - Rattenborg, Marie
A woman's blouse. The black grosgrain blouse has a boatneck and 3/4 length sleeves. There is a bow at front center made form the same grosgrain material. The lower portion of the blouse may be made from some sort of cotton blend. There is a side zipper closure on at the proper right. There are snaps along the interior of the neckline, presumedly for a detachable collar.

Long-sleeved bodice made of blue/gray and gold twill. Part of a two-piece dress; goes with skirt 1988.024.064b. Fitted bodice with short collar. Each cuff is decorated with a band of dark green or black velvet and two round, brown, shiny buttons. Proper front opening secured by eight round, brown, shiny buttons. V-shaped peplum in proper back. Bodice interior lined with a two-toned brown flannel material with a leaf pattern.

A women's hat or bonnet. The bonnet is oval in shape and constructed with layers of dark velvet. There is a white cotton or linen flower at the front center under the folds of velvet. Two long sections of velvet are attached at the back center. The interior of the bonnet is lined with black fabric.

A petticoat or slip. The petticoat is made from cotton and lace. The petticoat has an overlay with horizontal pleat details at the top, four lace inserts, and lace along the hemline. The interior skirt portion is plain white cotton with no additional details. There is a one-button closure at back center of the waistband.

Ankle-length skirt made of blue/gray and gold twill. Part of a two-piece dress; goes with bodice 1988.024.064a. Gored style with wide (ranging from 5" to 6") navy blue velvet band below the waistband and encircling the hips. Opening in proper back secured by two metal hook-and-eye closures at the waistband and five hook-and eye closures down the skirt. Two loops in interior of proper front waistband. No lining.
