Scope / Description |
Souvenir pamphlet from McKinney School in 1914. Front cover is ivory color with gold printing. Souvenir is printed at top, gold etched around a circular photo of a young girl not identified but would assume it would be a Kragh girl, 1914 in gold print. The cover is embossed with decorative leaves, also embossed on the front are words, "Lest We Forget" and "The foundation of every State is the Education of its Youth". There are two tiny holes at the spine with silk thread to hold pages together. The school teachers's Creed is on the first page, second page has McKinney School, District No. 11, McKinney Twp., Renville Co., N D. The name of the teacher, Andrena L. Anderson and the pupils. Teachers Greeting on the next two pages with ink drawings of the school and children going into the school and on the playground. Pamphlet is 3 1/2" X 5". The lady on the pamphlet is the teacher who made up the pamphlets to give to their students the last day of school. -Beverly Hunter Aper 8/8/2002 |
