Scope / Description |
Postcard. Rectangular, horizontally oriented. Drawn picture on the one side with the text "Storvask / paa Evas og i vor Tid". To the viewer's left is a picture of a clothes line with two leaves on it, and to the viewer's right is a picture of a clothes line with mixed laundry on it. On the other side of the postcard there are three lines in the top center with "POST CARD" written in a number of languages. To the viewer's top right is a green, Danish stamp and a postmark. The lower part of this side of the postcard is divided into two halves. On the viewers's left side is a handwritten message in Danish, and on the viewer's right side is the address of the recipient of the postcard, also handwritten. The postcard is from Aage Clement to his sister, Gerda Clement. The message on the postcard reads: "Is Ellen coming home for Easter? Greetings from Aage". Ellen is a sister of Aage and Gerda. The text on the picture side of the postcard reads: "Wash / in the time of Eve and in our time". 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 |
