Scope / Description |
Song written on the occasion of a wedding in 1947. The songs is printed in a booklet made from one large, folded sheet of paper. The text is written on typewriter in black. On the front page, there is a sticker in the form of the British Union Flag at the top corner to the viewer's left. In the center of the page it says "S I S S E o g T O M / 12 - 4 - 1947.", all underlined with dotted lines. The back side of the booklet is blank. On the inside of the booklet, the song itself is printed. At the top center of the first page, the tune that the song is sung to is noted. Then follows nine numbered verses. Below the last verse, the song is signed "Nummer Atten." At the bottom of the page, there is a thin, black line with small, black print below it. The song is written on the occasion of the wedding of Sisse Clement and her husband Tom on April 12, 1947. In the song, Danish and English are mixed. The song tells of Sisse's childhood, her youth, and her meeting Tom. The last two verses tells of the wedding party, of some of the guests, and of the future for the couple. The signature under the song reads "Number Eighteen". 8 3/4 x 13/2. |
