B/W photo postcard. Viewer sees three oversized apples sitting on a flat Northern Pacific train car. Another car in the background, and the end of another ahead of the apple's car. Man standing at the end of the flat car resting his left arm on the car. On back is handwritten correspondence: "Dear Lillie:- Wishing you a happy easter and hoping to hear from you very soon. Love to Clara- Kristina." Addressed to "Miss Lillie Madson / Elk Horn / Ia." All that remains of the green postage stamp is the upper left corner--one can read "U.S." In lower left corner of the front is "NORTHERN SPY'S / SERIES C-5 / COPYRIGHT 1909 / PHOTO ART SHOP". |
