Copied photo of Memorial Rock at Nathanael. Photo is copied on a white sheet of typing paper. Top of page has colored photo of the Memorial Rock which was erected on October 6, 1931 in memory of the founding of the Dagmar colony on October 6, 1906. The words inscribed on the rock are " Rejst 6 Okt. 1931 til MInde om Dagmar Koloniens Grundlæggelse, 6 Odt. 1906" were painted by Oscar Stromberg. In 1956 the painted inscription was carved in the rock along with the words "rededicated in 1956". In 1982 a plaque was added to the Memorial Rock. At the bottom of the page is a copy of the plaque that reads, Rededicated 1956, "This Plaque commemorates those who for the past seventy-five years, have demonstrated a way of faith, hope, love and courage and the future generations who will continue to follow the way. July 25, 1982." Also below the photo of the rock is typed, Memorial Rock, Metha Olsen January 2001. Dimensions: 8 1/2"W x 11"L |
