Scope / Description |
Ledger containing minutes of the Danish Home Club between 1925 and 1934. Book is black with a textured cover, deep burgendy corners and spine. Short newspaper clipping adhered to inside of first page in upper right corner. Each page appears to be used. Contains 152 pages. 8 3/8" W x 10 1/2" L The Danish Home Club appears to have been a home in which immigrants met and socialized, and some resided there. Regular meetings were held and business and social topics discussed. Club was dissolved in 1974 due to lack of membership and the changing of the neighborhood. Assets divided between other organizations--the Salvation Army, a children's home, The Danish Aid & Relief Society, and the Danish Old People's Home. |
